"Damaged" broke out of the clubs to become a radio smash.

The club hit "Damaged" first appeared on the original soundtrack of the movie "Brokedown Palace" (1999) and was originally performed by Plumb.  After serious musical and vocal lifting, the track was back again in Florida in 2001, performed by Plummet, a power-packed duo consisting of producer DJ  X (Eric B. Muniz) and vocalist Cheramy Burgess.   The single's success brought national and international attention to the duo.   Inspired by Plumb, the original band, the name "Plummet" is meant to evoke the artist's approach to the music, falling deeply and rapidly into it.   "Damaged," through its lyrical content and melody, is a clear example of this concept.

Bringing to life a variety of styles and choices, the American single release had five mixes, each running from one type of music to another.  Brought overseas by Italian companies Melodica and Motivo, "Damaged" was back again in 2002 with a new package of great remixes by Antillas and Arctica that captured deejays' attention from all over Europe.  Massively supported by the likes of Judge Jules ("Tried and Tested," UK BBC Radio 1), Pete Tong, Dave Pearce ("Record of the Week" on BBC Radio 1), and Tall Paul ("One to Come," UK's KISS-FM), Plummet's debut single "Damaged" was released in the UK on Serious/Mercury and reached No. 12 of the UK Official singles chart and No. 2 of both the Cool Cuts and the Buzz Chart.

The Vocalist - Cheramy Burgess
Vocalist Cheramy Burgess was born in Salt Lake City, Utah and due to her father's active service duty quickly became a military brat.  At a very early age, Cheramy moved with her family overseas to Livorno, Italy and continued to make many moves throughout the years.  They relocated to Osterholz and Mannheim, Germany and eventually to Brunssum, Holland.  After her father's retirement, Cheramy and her family became permanent Florida residents.  Upon graduation from high school, Cheramy began working as an on-air personality for Panama City's Hot 107.9 FM.  During a listener appreciation party at Panama City Beach's Club La Vela in December of 2000, Cheramy and DJ  X had their first introduction.  "Damaged" was their first collaboration and sealed the deal and set the pace for the future of Plummet.

Producer - DJ  X ( Eric Muniz )

A native of New York, DJ  X is today a resident of sunny Florida.  Not only an established artist, DJ, producer, and remix master, DJ  X is also an entrepreneur as the owner and operator of Florida-based Xquizit Records, a label known for "putting funky breakz on the map."   In addition, he also founded a sister label to the breaks scene entitled "The Eastern Breakz Movement" and launched the web site www.theEBM.com.  DJ  X, with the accompaniment of other artists and remixers, is responsible for more than fifty 12" vinyl releases between the Xquizit Records and The EBM labels.  He has also released four full-length CD compilations of his own as well as 2 CD maxi-singles, including the Billboard-charted single "Use Your Luv," a remix of The Outfield's 1985 hit "Your Love."   DJ  X has performed at many clubs and events throughout the United States and Canada, including Florida, the Carolinas, Louisiana, Boston, Georgia, and Vancouver.  He frequently performs in Florida metropolitan areas such as Miami, Orlando, Daytona, Jacksonville and Tampa.
