High Tea on Buckingham Palace Road

Matt and Dana take afternoon tea, then swing by the palace, Big Ben, and Harrod's

We passed this cool building
on the way from Westminster
Abbey to the palace, 2:57 pm.

We booked our tea here at the Rubens, but they scheduled it to be served
in the 41 Lounge at their sister hotel.

Dana had her own pot of peppermint tea.  Mine was elderberry and lemon.

It was chicken salad, ham,
and smoked salmon sandwiches
on the bottom tier, sweets
on the top two tiers.

Check the swan
made of merengue.

3:55 pm at the 41 Lounge

The 41 Lounge is class
all the way.  Dig that bar!

The awesome globe, the candlelight, the top-grade teas... I love this joint!

Leaving the 41 Lounge,
heading for the elevator....

...Dana finds this swanky sofa.

The 41 Hotel and its lounge are above the several floors of the Rubens hotel.

7:01 pm: This decorated car
was abandoned (and booted)
right in front of Harrod's. An hour
later we saw it being towed.
