The forest stretches from Chattanooga to Bristol along the
North Carolina border.

Matt & Dana hiked through the
part of the forest which is
located in Hampton, TN.

The 640,000-acre Cherokee National Forest is the largest tract
of public land in Tennessee.

The forest lies in the heart of the Southern Appalachian
mountain range.

The Cherokee National Forest boasts 30 developed campgrounds,
30 picnic areas, 700 miles of trail...

... plus hundreds of miles
of cold water streams and
seven whitewater rivers.

These mountains are home to more than 20,000 species
of plants and animals.

The trail Matt & Dana hiked is called the Dennis Cove trail head.

After a strenuous climb down
dozens of outcropping rocks...

...you reach Laurel Falls.
